It is with great sadness to note Isabel’s passing. I have the fondest memories growing up of Isabel at family events, sending birthday cards, telling stories of her trips and even sending care packages.
We always talked a couple of times a year no matter where I was living. There was always much laughing during our talks.
The time spent at McLandress family reunions with Isabel was always delightful.
When I had children, her care packages shifted to them! Each of my girls received a special nightie that became beloved...she was thoughtful beyond words.
She will be greatly missed.

I am so sorry to hear about Isabel's passing.
We go back all the way to our high school, St. Thomas Collegiate Institute. I came into St. Thomas on the L.& P.S. from Port Stanley. We met in 9A. I remember sharing many giggles over those high school years with Isabel. We sat at the back of the classrooms as Isabel was tall and I was average height but thought I was tall too. We also went to Teachers College at the same time. Isabel was so easy to know and chat with. We connected again when S.T.C.I. had a huge reunion of the whole school and then our graduating class about twelve years ago. As I was on the organizing committee, it was great to give Isabel a call for names and have a good old chat on the phone.
Thank you Isabel for our good memories together.

Solid, sincere friend. Intelligent, great sense of humour, kind, more like a family member. The world was a better place with her in it. A life well lived and one sorely missed. Our heartfelt condolences to her brother Jim, his wife Gillian, and family.

I am so saddened about my cousin Isabel’s passing. Not living close I didn’t get to see her often but I am acutely aware that she was an integral part of Jim and Gillian’s family. Their children were everything to her and I hope that they all can remember the wonderful memories they have shared with her. She had many friends and am glad that she was able to enjoy her many travels especially after her retirement. She has made a difference in many lives!! and will be truly missed. ❤️

Miss Campbell was my home economics teacher in the early ‘70’s. She cared very much about all of her students. She always wore her smile to work and made learning fun.
More importantly, she was one of the terrific staff that worked for my dad (late) John Ayearst. My dad too spoke very fondly of her.
May your great memories offer you comfort as you grieve her loss.

As one of Mary Anne's long time best friends, and a former roommate - we used to anxiously await Aunt Isabel's mailed care packages for each holiday. They were awesome - creative and fun, with silly elements like hats and decorations, that made us chuckle and get excited for each season. And when we were staying in Port Stanley, she always made a point of visiting the group. So sweet and thoughtful, she will be dearly missed by more people than she will ever know. So much love for the entire family during this difficult time xoxo

We have all lost a great lady. She loved her family and friends and did all she could to enrich their lives. If the world was full of similar people, it would be a much better place to live. Her generosity, hospitality, style and zest for living were to be admired. Let's all celebrate that we were part of her life. We were blessed.

It was a delight to teach with Isabel at Elgin Court in the 70's. She always had a ready smile and was genuine in all ways. I still have recipes that make me think of her. She will be missed by many!

I worked with Isabel at Elgin Court school first when I was VP and then again when I was Principal . She was a great Staff member. I mostly remember her laugh. She talked a lot about her nieces and nephews. I'm sure they will miss her.
