PETERS, Gregory Howard “Greg”, of Littlewood, passed away suddenly, doing what he loved on Sunday, October 14, 2018, in his 69th year. Beloved husband of 39 years to Janet (née Burtwistle) Peters. Dearly loved father of Brent Harris (Hilary) of Toronto, Shannon Holmes (Mark) of Strathroy, Katie Howard (Deryk) of Lucan and daughter-in-law Erica of Toronto. Proud and devoted Pappa of Benjamin, Devyn, Simon, Max and Oliver. Greg will be fondly remembered by in-laws, Nancy and Dick Soper, Jo Ann and Glenn Orchard, and Leslie and Craig Travis, along with many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brother, David Peters, sister-in-law, Marg Peters, as well as a nephew, Scott Peters. Also predeceased by his Rottweilers, Savage, Kane, Bear and Betty. Born in St. Thomas, ON, May 20,1950, he was the son of the late Howard and Ruth (née Nechiporenko) Peters. Greg was an avid and passionate hunter and lived to watch his grandsons play hockey. During his career as a millwright, Greg played a fundamental role in many start-ups in the St. Thomas area, and most recently was a self-employed home inspector. He was a former member of St. Mark’s Lodge #94, A.F. & A.M., Port Stanley. Relatives and friends will be received by the family at the SIFTON FUNERAL HOME, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas (519-631-1160) on Thursday, October 18th from 2:00 - 4:00 & 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Friday, October 19th at the Masonic Centre of Elgin, 42703 Fruit Ridge Line, St. Thomas at 11:00 a.m., with cremation to follow. Friends who wish to make a memorial donation are asked to consider the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Wildlife Federation.
