Obituary of Ruth Vowel (nee Miller)

VOWEL, Ruth (née Miller), of St. Thomas, passed away at the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Wednesday, September 26, 2018, in her 84^th year.  Wife of the late Donald F. Vowel (1990).  Mother of Patricia Baldwin of St. Thomas, Linda Merritt (Gehrig) of Maple Ridge, BC, Terry Walzak, Fred Vowel and Judy Boyd, all of St. Thomas.   Sister of Jean Riddell of Zephyr.  Also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  Born in Uxbridge, ON, March 16, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Orville and Pearl (née Wagg) Miller.  Ruth was a retired Health Care Aide at Caressant Care on Bonnie Place, St. Thomas.   In keeping with her wishes, there will be no public visitation or funeral service.  A private family graveside service will be held at Elmdale Memorial Park.  Arrangements entrusted to the SIFTON FUNERAL HOME, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas, ON (519-631-1160).  A special thank you to all the wonderful staff at the St.Thomas Elgin General Hospital for their care and compassion.
