Obituary of Jeanne Macdonald (nee North)

Macdonald, Jeanne (née North), formerly of St. Thomas, passed away in Ancaster, ON on Wednesday, August 29, 2018, in her 96^th year.  Wife of the late Aubrey Macdonald.  Dearly loved mother of Sandra St. Michael.  Cherished grandmother of Julia St. Michael, Brie Dundas, Jessica St. Michael, and Celine St. Michael.  Jeanne was proud of her great grandsons, Desmond and Ivor Dundas.  Dear sister of Barbara Cook, Jacqueline North, Michael North, and Terrance North (Ruth).  Also fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by sisters, Florence McBain, Pauline McRae, and Sandra “Toni” Wright, and by brothers, Charles and Dennis North.  Born in St. Thomas , ON , May 10, 1923 , she was the daughter of the late Charles and Nellie (née Plowright) North.  Jeanne was a retired CIBC, London , ON branch manager.  She was a member of Holy Angels’ Roman Catholic Church, St. Thomas and the Catholic Women’s League.  Cremation has taken place.  Relatives and friends will be received by the family at the SIFTON FUNERAL HOME, 118 Wellington St. , St. Thomas  (519-631-1160) on Friday, September 21, 2018 from 7:00-9:00 p.m. (C.W.L. prayers at 8:30 p.m. ).  The memorial mass to celebrate Jeanne’s life will be held at Holy Angels’ Roman Catholic Church, 502 Talbot St. , St. Thomas on Saturday, September 22, 2018 , at 10:30 a.m.   Memorial donations to the charity of one’s choice will be gratefully acknowledged.
