My mother shares fond memories of her brother, Gerald. He attended Queen Elizabeth High School in Halifax the first year it was opened. There he met my father, WIllie, and brought him to the McKean home on Atlantic street. This is how my parents met. I can recall my father had a nickname for Uncle Gerald. It was "Geuff", but am not sure where that came from. I can recall Gerald and Bea visiting my home in Dartmouth and enjoying a pleasant evening and some seafood chowder on my deck. I remember Gerald liked golf so I will think of him the next round I play. My family sends their condolences.
