MANNERING, Vonne Ray, of St. Thomas, at the Valleyview Home on Wednesday, August 1, 2018, a special child of God, passed into the arms of Jesus her Lord and Saviour, in her 72nd year. This “prayer warrior” has no more pain, no confusion, no suffering. Vonne was a former resident of Fort Erie, ON, where she was born on December 10, 1946. She was a member of Eastwood Fellowship Baptist Church, St. Thomas. Vonne was the beloved daughter of the late Ruby (née Graydon) (Mannering) Brewster (1997), and the step-daughter of the late Bill Brewster. Dear sister of Richard Mannering (Susan), loving aunt of Steven and Stacy Mannering, and great aunt of Natasha and Christian, all of St. Thomas, and Christopher of Kitchener. Best friend of Gayle Wiltsie, loving niece of Janet Brewster, and also fondly remembered by Jim and Linda MacDonald, and Janet Seburn, all of Fort Erie. Cremation has taken place. A service to celebrate Vonne’s life will be held at the SIFTON FUNERAL HOME, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas (519-631-1160) on Monday, August 6th at 11:00 a.m. Relatives and friends will be received by the family from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Interment will be made in Greenwood Cemetery, Fort Erie at a later date. If so desired, memorial donations may be made to the Valleyview Home re: Family & Friends Council or Eastwood Fellowship Baptist Church. The family is very grateful to the Valleyview Home staff on the Wabash and dementia units for their many years of dedicated care.
