BARRY, Katherine “Kaye” (née MacKenzie), of Wallaceburg, formerly of St. Thomas, passed away at the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Thursday, June 7, 2018, in her 97th year. Beloved wife for more than 68 years to the late William S. “Bill” Barry (2017). Dearly loved mother of K. Christina “Christy” Clutterbuck (Bob) of St. Thomas, and Barb Pinnegar of Wallaceburg. Cherished grandmother of Barbara Ferguson (James) of Mississauga, Bill Clutterbuck (Connie), Bonnie Van Meppelen Scheppink (Paul), and Chris Pinnegar (Julie), all of St. Thomas. Fondly remembered by her nine great grandchildren, Joshua and Riley Ferguson, Alicia, Emily and Nicholas Van Meppelen Scheppink, Alyssa Schweyer, Caitlin Powell, and Tamara and Joelle Clutterbuck. Kaye is also survived by her great great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. The last surviving member of her own immediate family, she was predeceased by her sisters; Margaret Fries and Barbara “Babby” Lankin, and by her brothers; William and George MacKenzie. Born in Dartmouth, NS, June 29, 1921, she was the daughter of the late George W. and Catherine (née Hyland) MacKenzie. Kaye was a member of Holy Angels’ Roman Catholic Church, St. Thomas. Relatives and friends will be received by the family at the SIFTON FUNERAL HOME, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas (519-631-1160) on Monday evening, June 11th from 7:00-9:00 p.m. (Prayers at 8:30 p.m.). The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Angels’ Roman Catholic Church, 502 Talbot St., St. Thomas on Tuesday, June 12th at 10:00 a.m., followed by interment in Holy Angels’ Cemetery. Memorial donations to St. Peter’s Seminary or Holy Angels’ Church will be gratefully acknowledged.
