BARNIER, G. Dennis, of St. Thomas, passed away at his residence on Wednesday, May 30, 2018, in his 71st year. Dear brother of Doug Barnier (Rick) of Toronto. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Dennis was predeceased by brothers; Larry, Claude and Raymond Barnier, and by sisters; (infant) Shirley Barnier, Jill Jacques, and Bonnie Van Hollen. Born in Tilbury East Township, ON, November 29, 1947, he was the son of the late Howard C. and Sarah (née Poag) Barnier. Dennis was a retired communications operator with the Ontario Provincial Police, Elgin County Branch, and a former employee of Hartz Canada, St. Thomas. He was a member of the Centennial Sports Club, St. Thomas. In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place, and there will be no public visitation or funeral service. Private interment of Dennis’ cremated remains will be made in Holy Angels’Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario will be gratefully acknowledged. A special thank you to nieces Robin and Kim.
