Obituary of Lorna Collard (nee Glover)

COLLARD, Lorna (née Glover), of R.R.3, Shedden (Frome), passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 29, 2018, in her 89^th year.  Wife of the late William J. “Bill” Collard (2007).  Mother of Hardy (Karen), Timothy, Phoebe, Lori, and Jonathan (Heather).  Grandmother of Steven, Wesley (Christine), Nicole, Nolan, and the late Ryan.  Great grandmother of Coral, Delta, Kira, Emmit, Shepard, William, Cameron, and Harrison.  Sister of Beth George, late Kathleen “Kay” Hunt, late William T. Glover, and the late J. H. “Junior” Glover.  Special aunt to Donald Lunn (Ruth).  Also survived by a number of nieces and nephews and their families.  Born in St. Thomas, ON, May 5, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Florence “Florrie” (née Dowler) Glover.  Lorna assisted her husband, Bill and son, Tim on the farm.  She was a member of Frome United Church and the U.C.W.  In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place.  Relatives and friends will be received by the family at the SIFTON FUNERAL HOME, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas (519-631-1160) on Friday, June 1^st from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.  A private family memorial service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, June 2^nd, followed by interment in Fingal Cemetery. Flowers respectfully declined.  Memorial donations to the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital Foundation will be gratefully acknowledged.
