AUSTIN, Ronald G. “Ron”, of St. Thomas, passed away at his residence on Thursday, March 29, 2018, in his 82nd year. Husband of the late Judith “Judy” (née Bear) Austin (Mar. 22, 2018). Father of Donald “Don” Austin (Trish) of Kitchener, Richard Austin of London, and Carl Austin of Toronto. Grandfather of Stephen Austin and Erin Austin. Also survived by daughter-in-law, Sandra Austin, sister, Leila “Lee” Tremblay, as well as several in-laws and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, Ron was predeceased by two sisters, Shirley Pearce and Barbara Austin, and by four brothers, James “Jim”, William “Bud”, John, and Alfred “Alf” Austin. Born in St. Thomas, ON, September 9, 1936, he was the son of the late Jack and Elizabeth (née Rae) Austin. Ron was a retired employee of Clark Equipment, St. Thomas. In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place. Relatives and friends will be received by the family at the SIFTON FUNERAL HOME, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas (519-631-1160) on Saturday, April 7th from 2:00–4:00 p.m.
