Obituary of Helen M. Ogilvie (nee Ropell)

Of St. Thomas, ON, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 30, 2024, at the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital, in her 78th year. Beloved wife of the late J. Douglas “Doug” Ogilvie (2015). Dearly loved mother of Christina Berlingeri of Hamilton, and Colleen Pearce (Jeff) of St. Thomas. Cherished grandmother of A.J., Brook-lyn, Alexandria, and Abigail. Dear sister of Heather, Bobby, Jayne, Robyne, Brian, late Rae Anne, and late Karen. Helen is also remembered by her in-laws, nieces, nephews, and their families.

Born in Halifax, NS, May 14, 1947, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Helen (née Saunders) Ropell. Helen was a retired employee of Presstran Industries, St. Thomas.

In keeping with Helen’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and private interment will be made in South Park Cemetery, St. Thomas. A celebration of life open house will be announced at a future time.
