Obituary of Barry F. Smith

Of St. Thomas, passed away at the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, in his 74th year.  Beloved husband of Patricia (née Barker) Smith. Dearly loved father of Barry Smith (Bonnie), Tyler Smith, Chad Smith, and Jason Ralf (Jodi). Cherished grandfather of Sydney, Jordan, Ashlynne, Annika, and Kody. Dear brother of Shirley Smith and Eileen Smith. 

Born in St. Thomas, ON, April 17, 1950, he was the son of the late Harold and Shirley (née Austin) Smith.  Barry was a retired employee of the Ford Motor Company of Canada’s St. Thomas Assembly Plant.  He was an avid fisherman. 

In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no public visitation or public service. Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society will be gratefully acknowledged.
