Obituary of George L. Nelson

Of Aylmer, ON, formerly of St. Thomas, passed away peacefully with his wife and daughter by his side, on Friday, February 2, 2024, at the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital. Cherished husband for almost 30 years to Marie, much-loved father of Jennifer, pet parent to Gracie and Susie, and Grandpaw to Millie. His siblings, Alison Hope and Bill Nelson predeceased him.

George was a retired photographer and school bus driver. He was an avid traveler and loved gardening.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no public visitation or public service. A Celebration of Life will be held in Scotland. Flowers respectfully declined. Memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation are encouraged. Arrangements entrusted to the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington Street, St. Thomas (519-631-1160).
