My favorite memory of Wally was the many ways she used charcoal! Wally made charcoal plasters for me if I had a bruise, a sore muscle, anything could be cured by charcoal according to Wally. Many of us Metcalfe girls have a Christmas pin to wear in her honor. Wally will be missed immensely and I am glad I got to know her over the years as I am a housekeeper at Metcalfe.
