Obituary of Maxwell Howard "Max" White

Of RR#7, St. Thomas, passed away at the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Sunday, October 8, 2023, in his 93^rd year. Beloved husband of the late Margaret (née Malott) White (2001). Dearly loved father of Deborah Milan (Ingo) of Belmont, Connie Matthews (Ed) of Parry Sound, Kevin White (Bonnie) of Pelee Island, and David White of Shedden. Cherished grandfather of Christine Campbell (Scott), Laura Robinson (Brad), Ryan Matthews, Shawn Matthews (Maggie), Brittany De Boer (Jonathan), and the late Tyler White (2016). Max was also proud of his 9 great grandchildren. He is fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, and their families. Max was the last of his own immediate family, having been predeceased by siblings, (infant) Erma Pearline White, Maggie Adams, Edna Rieger, James White, and Jean Eglin.

Born on Pelee Island, ON, November 8, 1930, a son of the late Edward and Lillie (née Feltz) White, he came to RR#7, St. Thomas in 1962. Max farmed almost his entire life. He was a member of Talbotville United Church. An avid outdoorsman, Max enjoyed hunting and fishing.

In keeping with his wishes, a private family visitation and funeral service will be held at the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas (519-631-1160).
