TURNER, A. Thomas “Tom”, of St. Thomas, passed away at the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Friday, February 9, 2018, in his 81st year. Husband for 57 years to the late Mary P. (née Lumley) Turner (2015). Father of Tina Turner of London, Margaret Turner (Remo Ferrara) of St. Thomas, Sam Turner of West Lorne, Patty Waite (Gary) of London, Tom Turner of St. Thomas, and Mary Ann Turner-Pease (Toby) of Englehart. Brother of the late Margaret “Peggy” Fenn. Tom is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. Born in St. Thomas, ON, March 5, 1937, he was the son of the late Thomas and Mary (née Liger) Turner. In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no public visitation. A private family celebration of Tom’s life will be held. Memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society will be gratefully acknowledged. Arrangements have been entrusted to the SIFTON FUNERAL HOME, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas (519-631-1160).
