Obituary of Larry J. Paquette

Of St. Thomas, passed away at his residence on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at the age of 79. Husband of the late Wietske “Marilyn” (née Hulst) Paquette (2016) and the late Genora "Jay" Paquette (1996).  Father of Michelle Paquette (Don Harrison), Leanne Paquette, Laurie Paquette (Richard Travis), and the late Raymond Paquette.  Larry is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 6 sisters, and many in-laws, nieces and nephews.  He will be sadly missed by his dogs, Benji and FiFi.   Born in Peterborough, ON, January 1, 1944, he was one of 15 children born to the late Joseph Earl and Ila (née Sweet) Paquette.   In addition to his wife and parents, Larry was predeceased by 6 brothers and 2 sisters.   He was a retired employee of the Ford Motor Company of Canada’s St. Thomas Assembly Plant.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or service at this time.  A service to celebrate Larry's life will be announced at a later date. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society will be gratefully acknowledged.
