Obituary of Marion Isabelle Orchard

Formerly of RR3, Shedden, passed away at Bobier Villa, Dutton on Thursday, February 16, 2023, in her 100th year. Beloved sister-in-law of Helen Orchard. Aunt of Ian Duncan Orchard (Fides), and great aunt of Laura, Chelsey, and Dean (Janine). Her dear brother, James Duncan “Jim” Orchard passed away in 2014.

Born on the family farm in Southwold Township, ON, August 31, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Christena (née McKillop) Orchard. Marion was a friend of all children and an educator for the youth of the future. Thank you Aunt May for living.

Marion was a member of Knox Presbyterian Church, St. Thomas. She was a life member of the RTO and RWTO, a member of Western University Alumni, Delta Kappa Gamma, and a past UCW and WMS member.

Public visitation was held at the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas (519-631-1160) on Friday, February 24, 2023 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service to celebrate Marion’s life was held at the funeral home on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at 2:00 p.m.

Interment will be made in Shedden Cemetery on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at 3:15 p.m.  All are welcome to attend.
