Condolences to my dear Aunt Millie’s family. It was with a heavy heart when I heard of her passing and yet I was overjoyed when I was told about the loving care and compassion she received from her grandchildren which enabled her to slip away peacefully. She carried on the Sinclair banner throughout her long life.
When the Kellogg plant on Kellogg Lane in London closed, putting 500 people out of work, she told me, “I’ll be damned if I will ever buy their cereal again.” She certainly was a lady of her words and I often wondered if she carried out that threat.
