Gary, Bev, Karen and family, Our hearts are saddened with the passing of your dad. Merle was always a gentleman and a consummate salesman. His positive approach to life was as infectious as was his sense of humour (his wry smile is memorable). Merle and Joan were always the 1st stop for our Christmas caroling gang. We could not sing, but drinks were always offered, at 101 Myrtle. I also have great memories as a kid, hanging around the Brown house. Spent many a sleepover. Saturday morning hockey with Gary gave way to Saturday morning deliveries at EPW. This all seems like a hundred years ago, but the memories do not. Hugs to all Ray and Mary Parkes

Gary and family I just heard from Ray about your Dad's passing. I have many fond memories of your Dad; as I reflect I can see his smiling face in my mind's eye; and his easy going way when I worked with him all those years ago - even when I was a teenager he always treated me as an adult, and I never forgot that. Arrangements

In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place, and private interment will be made in Bayview Cemetery, Port Rowan. Merle’s family will celebrate his life privately.
