Obituary of Mazie Thompson

Of the Valleyview Home, St. Thomas, age 97, passed away at her residence on Friday, May 27, 2022. Born in Barrie Township, Frontenac County, ON, May 24, 1925, she was a daughter of the late William D. and Lillian (née White) Thompson. Mazie is survived by several nieces, nephews, and their families.  In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two sisters, Anna Patterson and Vivian Thompson, and her dear friend, Fae Millard. Mazie was a retired bookkeeper with Kennington’s Transportation Services Ltd., and a former employee of Ashton’s Real Estate & Insurance, St. Thomas. She was a member of the London First Church of the Nazarene, where she was a former assistant organist, and a past member of the Christian Women’s Club, St. Thomas.

Cremation has taken place. A service to celebrate Mazie's life will be held at the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas (519-631-1160) on Thursday June 2nd at 2:00 p.m.  Friends will be received by the family from 1:20 to 1:50 p.m.  All in attendance are kindly asked to wear a mask. Private family interment in Elmdale Memorial Park. The family ask those who wish to make a memorial donation to please consider the Valleyview Home (Re: Recreation Fund).
