Obituary of Enid "Tiny" McLachlin (nee Damude)

Of St. Thomas, passed away at the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Monday, January 24, 2022, in her 78th year. Beloved wife of Robert A. “Bob” McLachlin.  Dearly loved mother of John Close and cherished grandmother of Haley Gibbons. Step-mother of Chris McLachlin (Tina) and the late Roxanne Sharkey, and their families. Dear sister of Les Damude (Leslie). Also remembered by her in-laws, Janet and John Armstrong, nephew and nieces, Andrew Damude, Rachel DeConing, Tracy Armstrong, and their families. Born in Welland, ON, August 19, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Basil and Bernice (née Damude) Damude. Enid “Tiny” formerly operated Tiny’s Tots Daycare Centre, St. Thomas. She was an avid reader.

Cremation has taken place. A private memorial service will be held at the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas (519-631-1160). Due to Provincial COVID-19 restrictions, attendance numbers will be restricted, physical distancing will be followed, and a properly worn mask is required. If so desired, memorial donations to the charity of one’s choice will be appreciated.
