A man that made the stars shine brighter with his smile, calm demeanor and passion for life. He was the very meaning of a loving, devoted and involved father. Although my time with him was short, he taught me to love without judgement and to forgive always. Cheers to you Rich. I'll forever see you in the stars. xxoo Billie-Jo, Sloan and Rylynn Ladouceur

I love you and will miss you. Heaven gained a new angel and I know you will watch down and care for all of us especially your two boys Hunter and Colton. Until we meet again. Xoxo

Rich, meeting you was a memory I will always cherish. You were a man with the biggest heart of anyone I knew and always had a smile on your face even during such a difficult time. I hope you're at peace now, soaring with the angels before you, and cheering on those Leafs with your dad. RIP Rich, gone but NEVER forgotten!! XO

I met Rich almost 20 years ago when I started working at the Birchmount and we became great friends right away. We went through a lot of things over the years and were always there for each other. I can never remember us fighting even once and I am never going to forget all the great times we had together even if it was just hanging around my place. I think anybody who knew him would say he was the greatest guy they ever met and would do anything for them. I will miss him more then words can say. Rest up my friend because when we meet again, the good times will continue right where they left off. You will never be forgotten. Love you and rest in peace my brother!!

Do Not Cry
By Priscilla May
When I leave this world, please do not cry,
For I have gone up with the spirits in the sky.
Do not place flowers by my side,
For I never got them when I was alive.
Do not dress in fancy clothes;
Dress as you would if I were at home.
Play the songs I have requested,
For this is what I have always wanted.
Do not say how great I was;
Keep those memories between us.
Instead, celebrate the times we have had;
Remember the good, forget the bad.
This is my only final request:
That you do not cry when I am laid to rest.
Remember that my spirit will be with you.
I am still going to be there to see you through.
One last time, do not cry.
Celebrate my memories and life.
Keep my memories in your heart,
For we will never be apart.
Dear Vale family,
We are so sorry for your loss.
You are all in our thoughts
Love Kim, Randie and Cade

My deepest sympathies to your family at this time. My thoughts and heart go out to you all. Richard was a delightful friend to me in school. And even after we met many years later it was like school buddies all over again. He was kind and cheerful. This is how I will always remember him.
