Obituary of Mary Whyte (nee Wilson)

Of St. Thomas, formerly of Belmont, passed away at the Valleyview Home on Wednesday, April 28, 2021, in her 93^rd year.  Beloved wife of the late Robert “Roy” Whyte (1994).  Dearly loved mother of Ken Phillips (Marilyn), and Kathy Neal (Mark).  She was proud of her grandchildren, Josh (Tammy), Justin (Stephanie), Lisa (Corinne), and Troy (Denise), and her great grandchildren, Brock, Chase and Ronin.  Dear sister of Gary Wilson (Virginia), Richard Wilson (Sharon), late Arthur Wilson, and the late Evelyn Wilson.  Also fondly remembered by several nieces, nephews and their families.  Born in Dunwich Twp., ON, May 5, 1928, daughter of the late Oral and Rosalie (née Baptiste) Wilson.  Mary was retired from the accounting department at Gorman Rupp of Canada, St. Thomas.  In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family graveside service will be held at Elmdale Memorial Park.  Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Alzheimer Society will be gratefully acknowledged.  Arrangements entrusted to the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas (519-631-1160).
