Obituary of Mary E. Francis (nee Austin)

FRANCIS, Mary E. (née Austin) - Of Port Stanley, formerly of London and Wingham, passed away at the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Tuesday, March 9, 2021, in her 70^th year.  Beloved wife for almost 35 years to Thomas R. “Tom” Francis.  Dear sister of Edith Austin of Bancroft.  Mary is also survived by her in-laws, Bill and Jan Francis of Cambridge, as well as several nieces and nephews.  Born in Wingham, ON, November 29, 1951, she was the daughter of the late William E. “Bill” and Mary (née Wright) Austin.  Mary was a former employee of McKerlie Automotive, London and the London Public Library, Jalna Branch.  She enjoyed embroidery, reading and word/number puzzles.  In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or service.  Memorial donations to Animal Aide will be gratefully acknowledged.  Arrangements entrusted to the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas (519-631-1160).
