Obituary of Sandra Jeannette Dennis (nee Lennan)

Of Vienna, ON, formerly of St. Thomas, passed away peacefully at the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Saturday, November 21, 2020, surrounded by loved ones, in her 69^th year.  Beloved wife of James Dennis, together for 33 years.  Dear daughter of Mary (née Howard) Smith (John), and the late Ross Lennan.  Dearly loved mother of Christopher Bourenoff, Shannon Cowan (Lawrence), Charlene Cowan (Brian), and Serena Northcott (Jim).  Proud grandmother of Charmayne, Carter, Darryn, Maxine, Abbey, Tristan, Oceanna, and Kourtnee.  Loving aunt to Jody, Mandee, and Dawn.  Sandra will also be missed by many other family and friends.  Her sister, Donna Walters predeceased her.  Sandra was born in Peterborough, ON, December 16, 1951.  She was a former employee of Therm-O-Disc, St. Thomas.  Sandra enjoyed playing bingo and making blankets for her children and grandchildren.  She had a big heart and adored her family.  In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place, and there will be no visitation or public service.  Sandra’s family will celebrate her life privately.  This is not goodbye, but on to her next journey.  Flowers respectfully declined.  If so desired, memorial donations to Diabetes Canada or the STEGH Foundation (Re: Palliative Care) will be appreciated.  Arrangements entrusted to the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas (519-631-1160).
