Obituary of James M. "Jim" Hanley

HANLEY, James M. “Jim”, of St. Thomas, passed away at the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Wednesday, September 9, 2020, in his 74^th year.  Beloved partner of the late Annabelle (née McQuiggan) Ewing (Mar. 6, 2019).  Father of Bill Hanley and the late Jamie Hanley.  Jim is remembered by Annabelle’s sons, Mike and Mitch Ewing and granddaughters, Brittany and Rachael Ewing.  He was born on February 20, 1947 in Ingersoll, ON.  Jim and Annabelle operated Annabelle’s Family Restaurant in St. Thomas for a number of years.  In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place, and there will be no public visitation or funeral service.  Memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario will be gratefully acknowledged.  Arrangements entrusted to the SIFTON FUNERAL HOME, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas (519-631-1160).
