My condolences to Mr Fish's family. He was Vice at EESS when I attended in the late 1980's. While I didn't have a lot of interaction with him, on the times I did, his sincerity and fairness reached out. A good choice going into the education field for sure. May your memories bring you comfort in the difficult days ahead.

Dear family of Jim Fish, David and I were saddened to learn of Jim's death. He lived his life fully. I think his smile and casual attire speaks volumes about Jim. Although our encounters were few, we remember his kindness and empathy. He was quiet and a true gentleman. May God bless each of you and may you find peace in Jim's memory.
Sincerely, Marilyn and David Conklin

Teachers have such an enormous influence on their students, and I am confident that Jim Fish was a remarkably positive influence on hundreds of St. Thomas area students. Kind, caring, calm, genuine... all are appropriate descriptors of him; surely one of the finest teachers to have taught in our school system. I had the good fortune to be one of his students. Sincere condolences to his family.

I am so sorry to hear of this. I taught at King's College, and established the Alumni Association there, Jim was a regular attendee at our functions, and we shared many lively conversations (we were fellow grads - he in 1961 and me in 1966). He had a remarkable career, and had many stories to share. He will be much missed.

I remember meeting Susan in grade 7 at Homedale School. Then, as I went to Arthur Voaden, Mr Fish became my Vice-Principal in grade 10 or 11. My favourite memories of Mr Fish are of him walking the halls of AVSS eating from a bag of freshly popped popcorn and, most recently, the chats we would have as I would run into him living here in St Thomas. Mr Fish was a funny, smart, kind man and I will miss those chats. Hugs to the Fish family! Sherri (Welsh) Brooks

I'm so very sorry for your loss. I had the great pleasure of knowing Jim long ago, through my best friend, the late Paul Rawlings. Peace be with you.
