Obituary of Charles A. Goodhue

GOODHUE, Charles A., of R.R.7, Aylmer, passed away at the Elgin Manor, R.R.1, St. Thomas on Friday, November 3, 2017, in his 94th year.  Beloved husband of the late Jean (née Cooke) Goodhue (2015).  Dearly loved father of Kenneth Goodhue (Peggy) of R.R.8, St. Thomas, late Ralph J. Goodhue (2002) (Laurie of R.R.3, St. Thomas), and the late Joyce Goodhue (2013).  Brother of the late George Goodhue (late Hazel), late Helen Cummings (late Alf), late Harold Goodhue (Gladys of St. Thomas), late Marion Grant (late George), and the late Dorothy McCormick (Tom of Sarnia). Brother-in-law of the late Ray and Irene Watson.  Also lovingly remembered by 5 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, as well as a number of nieces and nephews.  Born in Port Stanley, ON, November 9, 1923, he was the son of the late James and Mabel (née Scoyne) Goodhue.  Charles was a retired farmer.  He was an adherent of Yarmouth Centre United Church.  Relatives and friends will be received by the family on Tuesday evening, November 7th from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at the SIFTON FUNERAL HOME, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas (519-631-1160) where the funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 8th at 11:00 a.m.  Interment in Union Cemetery.  Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society will be gratefully acknowledged.
