Obituary of J. H. Martyn "Marty" Berry

With profound sorrow and heavy hearts, we the loved ones of Marty announce his passing, at home on October 22, 2019. 

Marty was the beloved husband of Toni, and the loving father of Lars, Joel, James (Chelsea), and Thomas (Alex).  Marty was also loved by his step-children, Jeff, and Ashley (B.J.).  He also had three granddaughters, Nora, Stevie, and just this year Edith joined our family.

Marty will be sorely missed by his loving sister, Jennifer and her husband Frank Schuster.  Predeceased by his brother, Christopher (Susan, still living), and his parents, Howard and Audrey Berry.

Julie, the mother of his boys, will miss him deeply.

Marty’s extended family also grieve his loss.

We all loved Marty a lot.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place.  Relatives and friends are invited to a reception to celebrate Marty’s life at the Masonic Centre of Elgin, 42703 Fruit Ridge Line, St. Thomas on (NOTE: CHANGE OF DATE AND TIMES) Friday, November 8^th from 4:00-8:00 p.m. (Words of remembrance at 6:00 p.m.).  Memorial donations to The Grace Café or Inn Out of the Cold St. Thomas-Elgin will be gratefully acknowledged.  Arrangements entrusted to the SIFTON FUNERAL HOME, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas (519-631-1160).
