Obituary of Roviglio R. Pin

PIN, Roviglio R.- Of St. Thomas, passed away at his residence, peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, September 7, 2019, in his 83^rd year. Beloved husband for 59 years to Angela (née Infanti) Pin.  Dearly loved father of Nancy Pin-Di Valentin (late Mario), and Sheila Pin (Mark).  Cherished grandfather of Franco Di Valentin, Anthony Coxe, and Erica Pin.  Dear brother of Jones Codacasa (Guerino), Mario Pin (Louisa), late Luigi Pin (Anne), late Silvano Pin (Edda), and the late Odila Pin (Dino).  Roviglio is also fondly remembered by in-laws, Silvana Infanti (late Bepi), and Renzo Infanti, as well as nieces, nephews, cousins and their families.  Born in Codroipo, Italy, February 28, 1937, he was the son of the late Dante and Maria (née Chiarcos) Pin.  Roviglio was a retired employee (34 years) of Elgin Construction Company Limited, St. Thomas.  He was a member of St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church, St. Thomas and a committee member of the Furlan Club of London.  Roviglio formerly enjoyed hunting and bowling for many years, and was an avid gardener, winemaker, and soccer fan.  He also enjoyed dancing and was an accordion player.  His first priority in life was his family, who he loved very much.  Relatives and friends will be received by the family at the SIFTON FUNERAL HOME, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas (519-631-1160) on Tuesday, September 10^th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. (Prayers at 6:00 p.m.).  The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church, 20 Morrison Dr., St. Thomas on Wednesday, September 11^th at 10:00 a.m., followed by interment in Holy Angels’ Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario will be gratefully acknowledged.
