DOUGLAS, Aaltje “Alice” (née Neef) - Of St. Thomas, passed away at the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Wednesday, September 4, 2019, in her 75th year. Wife of the late John O. Douglas (1999). Mother of Charles Douglas (Suphit) of St. Thomas, Stephen Douglas (Anita) of Toronto, Michael Douglas (Sandi) of St. Thomas, Ron Douglas (Kim Jolley) of London, Lisa Douglas (Paul Rath) of Pleasant Camp, BC, Lori Douglas (Tim Fuchs) of Mississauga and the late Susan Douglas (2008). Grandmother of Michael, Heather, Melissa, Lindsay, Penny, Kimberly, Benjamin, Jacob, Angel, John, Evelyn and Clara. Sister of Hank Neef (Jan), Maria van der Linde (late Hein), and Anna Hofstee (late Tony), all of St. Thomas. Also survived by 7 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Born in Oldeboorn, The Netherlands, February 24, 1945, she was the daughter of the late David and Helen (née van der Duim) Neef. Alice was a retired pastry chef and kitchen supervisor at the Dearness Home, London. In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place. Alice’s family will be hosting a celebration of her life on Sunday, September 15, 2019 from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. at 41291 Major Line, St. Thomas.
