Obituary of Linda Boughner (nee Langford)
BOUGHNER, Linda (née Langford)- Of St. Thomas, passed away at the Elgin Manor, RR1, St. Thomas on Friday, August 23, 2019, surrounded by her family, in her 81st year. Beloved wife of the late Leo F. Boughner (1998). Dearly loved mother of Tammy McInnis (Larry), and cherished grandmother of Vicky Cooper (Art), and Chris Tuck (Jen Johnston). Grandma B of Jeanne, Grant (Ashlee), Alicia, Megan (Matt), and Tara. She was the proud great grandmother of Melody, Jaxson, Mia, and Kaelan, as well as many more. Dear sister of Mary Lou Charlton (Keith). Also remembered by sister-in-law, Marion Everitt (late Joe), and several nieces, nephews and their families. Born in St. Thomas, ON, July 22, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Vance and Helen (née Kitchen) Langford. Linda worked in the business office at the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital for 35 years. She was a member of St. Andrew’s United Church and a former member of Grace United Church, St. Thomas. Linda was a Past Noble Grand of Supreme Rebekah Lodge #251 and Edna Rebekah Lodge #14, St. Thomas, and was also formerly active with the Order of the Eastern Star. A private family visitation was held at the SIFTON FUNERAL HOME, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas (519-631-1160). A private graveside service was held at Elmdale Memorial Park. Relatives and friends will be received at a reception to celebrate Linda’s life at St. Andrew’s United Church, 60 West Avenue, St. Thomas on Saturday, September 28th from 2:00-5:00 p.m. Memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario or the Canadian Cancer Society will be gratefully acknowledged.
