NORTH, Michael, of Wallacetown, formerly of St. Thomas, passed away at the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Tuesday, February 5, 2019, in his 86th year.  Husband of the late June (née Morning) North (1986).  Father of Brian North (Debbie) of Wallacetown, and Charles North (Sandy “Sam” Jones) of St. Thomas.  Brother of Barbara Cook of Port Stanley, Jacqueline North of St. Thomas, and Terrance North (Ruth) of RR2, Port Stanley.  Also remembered by 6 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter, and many nieces and nephews and their families.  Michael was predeceased by siblings, Florence McBain, Pauline McRae, Sandra “Toni” Wright, Jeanne Macdonald, Charles North, and Dennis North.  Born in St. Thomas, ON, June 18, 1933, he was the son of the late Charles and Nellie (née Plowright) North.  Michael was a retired employee of Canron, St. Thomas.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing.  In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place.  Private interment of his cremated remains will be made in Elmdale Memorial Park.  Relatives and friends are invited to an open house to celebrate Michael’s life at the Centennial Sports Club, 41 Jonas St., St. Thomas on Sunday, March 10th from 1:00-4:00 p.m. Memorial donations to Cystic Fibrosis Canada will be gratefully acknowledged.  Arrangements entrusted to the SIFTON FUNERAL HOME, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas (519-631-1160)
