ZNIDARSIC, Anna (née Gustin), of St. Thomas, passed away at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital on Sunday, September 30, 2018, in her 90th year. Beloved wife for 65 years to Drago Znidarsic. Dearly loved mother of Georgina Fric (Joe). Cherished grandmother of Danny Fric, David Fric, Christina Palmer (Ryan), and Michelle Butler (Brett). Proud great grandmother of Aylla Butler and Brayden Palmer. Also fondly remembered by her nieces, Ankica, Pepica, and Stefica, and many friends. Predeceased by two sisters, Katica and Barbara, and by a brother, Vida. Born in Vrskovac, Vivodina, Croatia, June 11, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Josip and Dora Gustin. Anna was a retired employee of the Housekeeping Dept. at the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital. She was a member of St. Leopold Mandic Croatian Catholic Church, London, where she sang in the choir for many years. Relatives and friends will be received by the family at the SIFTON FUNERAL HOME, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas (519-631-1160) on Wednesday, October 3rd from 5:00-8:00 p.m. (Prayers at 7:30 p.m.). The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Leopold Mandic Croatian Catholic Church, 2889 Westminster Dr., London on Thursday, October 4th at 10:00 a.m., followed by interment in Holy Angels’ Cemetery, St. Thomas. If so desired, memorial donations to the church will be gratefully acknowledged. Special thanks to Dr. Darius Ho, the Home Care PSWs, and the nurses and staff on C and D Unit at the STEGH for the compassionate care provided to Anna.
